steak? ? ? hi, okay. so I have like a normal steak you'd get at a grocery store and i wanna cook it. I've never ever cooked steak before. But I've used the BBQ and oven and everything before. I don't know how to cook it or anything though? My moms out for a bit so i'm defending for myself :P Any advice any one? Uhm, and it's an electric BBQ? but i don't think that has any importance, lol.. kay so thanks :)
Steak on the barbeque? Opinions on a cast-iron pan or directly on the grill? I've read that because the pan or skillet is solid, it gives the outside of the steak a much more crusty texture. This seems to be what I find in most top steakhouses. Does anyone cook their steaks this way ? Just to be clear. Either way will be done on the barbeque, not indoors. It's just a question of the pan or directly on the grate.
Has anyone heard about marinating steak with black velvet whiskey? My husband always compares all of the steaks he eats with a women's steak he tried a long time ago. I really want to make it for him but I don't know how to make it and how long to marinate it and what seasonings to use. He said that she used black velvet whiskey to marinate the steak but that's all he knows. Has anyone heard about this recipe or have any ideas?
Best way to do a steak on the BBQ? I am a ummmmmmmmmm bad cook (to put it mildly! LOL). Just bought a BBQ and going to get a good steak tonight. Cant do a quality cut (working class so no prime rib lol) So any suggestions regarding cut of steak,cooking times,spicing, and maybe a lite marinade (Dont like a strong on as it takes away the flavour of the meat so teriaki is out). Quick recipe to make tender panfried round steak? Tuesday is steak night, have to get round steak because it's the leanest (not a health issue, just because boyfriend gags on visible fat/gristle!), BUT I find round steak pretty tough. How do you cook chicken breast to taste like a steak? I am pregnant and craving steaks right now. What is a good substitute for flank steak? I like to cook flank steak on my grill pan in the kitchen and it comes out nice and tender and works great for steak salad or sandwiches. A good recipe for cube steak? I need to make a good and impressing recipe for cube steak in very little time. I'm open to any technique of cooking except broiling (it's already broiling hot in my house) and it would be nice if I didn't have to bake it. I want to make it not taste like cube steak.
