Has anyone heard about marinating steak with black velvet whiskey?
My husband always compares all of the steaks he eats with a women's steak he tried a long time ago. I really want to make it for him but I don't know how to make it and how long to marinate it and what seasonings to use. He said that she used black velvet whiskey to marinate the steak but that's all he knows. Has anyone heard about this recipe or have any ideas?

- That sounds really interesting. I sometimes marinate with Wishbone Italian Dressing
- My husband loves Flank steak in a black velvet whiskey marinade. Ingredients 1/2 cup black velvet whiskey 1/4 orange juice 2 tablespoons brown sugar 1 tablespoon canola oil 2 teaspoons vanilla 2 teaspoons minced ginger 3 cloves garlic 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce 2 lbs flank steak, about 3/4 inch thick (2 cm) salt and pepper Directions 1Stir together whisky, orange juice, brown sugar, oil, vanilla, ginger, garlic, and hot sauce. 2Pour over steak; marinate for at least 1 day in freezer. 3Remove steak from marinade (you will love the aroma) and bring to room temperature for 30 minutes. 4Preheat the grill and now you can bring the marinade to a boil and reduce by half. 5Season the steak. 6Put it on greased grill and brush with reduced marinade. 7cook covered for 6 minutes. 8Turn and brush more marinade. 9Grill for another 5 minutes to get a rare texture. 10Slice thinly (against the grain) to serve. good luck
