- Sweet Potato Fries Cooking spray 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into wedges 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Coat a large baking sheet with cooking spray. Arrange potato wedges on prepared baking sheet in 1 layer and coat them with cooking spray. Sprinkle potatoes with salt and black pepper. Roast 30 minutes, until tender and golden brown. If preparing in advance, fill a medium saucepan 3/4 full with water and bring to a boil. Add the potato wedges and boil for 5 to 7 minutes, or until just beginning to get tender. Drain well. When you plan to serve them, bake par-boiled potatoes at 400 degrees F until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
- You could go country. Boiled potatoes, mashed with cream of mushroom soup. Maybe even some yams with brown sugar and marshmallows.
- fry it and have it with chips and beans
- Givem A little Skirt steak this time around! lol
- 1) Mash potatoes 2) broccoli and other vegitables
- new potato's, string beans..and a finely chopped salad dressed with extra virgin olive oil
- Wine and a special desert, not the kind you put on a plate.
- mash potoates, corn, green beans, baked beans, potatoe salad, corn on the cob, maccaronni and cheese are some side dishes...
- Baked potato and ranch style beans with oven baked rolls. I gotta go now I made myself hungry.
- Salad and baked potatoes are pretty standard with steak:) You could saute mushrooms & onions in wine to put on top, if you want... Oven-fried potato wedges are good too with a steamed green veggie. Or, you could even have BBQ beans and a salad..... We ONLY BBQ steaks, so I don't know any other way to suggest:) Lawry's makes great marinades (I like Baja Chipolte, Hickory and Mesquite best)
- Just take some toasted hamburger buns and cheddar cheese, and have cheese toast, and then a salad with all the fixin's and ranch dressing, but let him put the ranch dressing on himself... Make sure the steak is either a Filet Mignon or Rib-eye, use a little Rosemary spice on it, and grill it to perfection...
- Mashed potatoes are always great. I'm a vegetarian, so I'm not sure on ways to cook the steak. I just know a lot of people who enjoy mashed potatoes with it. Try searching Allrecipes.com http://allrecipes.com/Search/Recipes.aspx?WithTerm=steak You could do the same for potato recipes. Good luck.
- Double baked potatos go great with steak. You could wrap the steak in bacon. It's really good, but probably not too good for your health lol.
- Did you people have Dan Quayle for a spelling teacher? IT'S POTATO.... NO E AT THE END
- cooked shrimp, steak, and baby red potatoes! So Good!
- Broil the steak and top with caramelized onions and mushrooms. Serve with roasted red potatoes and sauteed asparagus.
- well, if you have a grill, cook the steak on the grill. Use salt and pepper, both sides... have the grill hot, around 400 degree ( minus if steak is thick). Throw it on say 2-3 minutes each side. In meantime, have some Boston baked beans on the stove.. Heat to simmer.. What you can do is have some potatoes salad.. Cook your potatoes cut up, diced, thrown into boiling water, say about 10 minutes or until potatoes are soft throughout. Drain. Add celery, and whatever other vegetables you may want. Add some mayo.. add some ( grey puppon) for added taste, and salt and pepper to your liking. I like to have A1 sauce on the side to add flavor to the steak..
- Steak can be cooked normally and add sum nice spices on Mashed potatoes with black pepper on top with boiled veg e.g brocc, peas, ect..... and nice sorce, gravy or anything...
- Smashed potatoes are wonderful and easy to do, and I find they go brilliantly with a rare-to-medium steak. As for the steak itself, I'd recommend a peppercorn sauce if possible - the spice of the pepper balances out the potatoes.
- I have three fried potatoes w/ onions bake potatoes w/sour cream butter noodles or mac &cheese always have a salad with your stake My husband loves Pepper Stake over rice. now were talking. he-he-he need recipe let me know
- ...start with a 16 oz. Rib-Eye... then a 10 o 12 oz Baked Potato... (season the Rib-Eye with some "Canadian steak seasoning") I hope you're using a Charcoal or good Gas grill for this piece of beef !!!. You can cook the "spud" in the microwave but when it's 90% done, take it out, wrap it up in some Alum foil... pack the Potato with sliced Onion and toss it on the grill while you're cooking the Steak... "if" you want to have a vegetable on the side... some fresh cut green-beans (steamed) with garlic-butter... Have a Caesar salad before the meal and some Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream for dessert !
- Nothing like some garlic mashed potatoes with steak. Keep some lumps in it and leave the potato skins in, butter and some garlic also, then if you would like grill up some zucchinis, tomato's that would go nicely, really whatever you like to do with the vegetables.
- grill the steak serve with baked potatoes with sour cream, mushrooms and onions cooked in butter and a white wine sauce and a tossed garden salad with blue cheese dressing.
- Mashed potatoes are amazing. Also if you grill some vegetables (ie. carrots, peppers, etc.) they can taste very good
- Saute' mushrooms and onions and a little garlic powder and top the steak with it...also good with blue cheese chunks on top of that if he likes this cheese of course. Twice baked potatoes Asparagus with lemon and butter Salad and bread
- Grill or broil the steak, though in a big pan will do in a pinch. season it with salt, pepper, garlic, Grains of Paradise (if you have it). For something different, you can also put a small pat of butter on top of the steak to make it richer. For a side, gotta go with potato. Here's a quick easy way to make potatoes differently. Get some potatoes, I like Yukon Golds for this, and nuke them until done. Let them cool, then cut them into pieces about bite size. heat some butter in a pan on med-high heat, throw in the potato pieces and season with salt pepper garlic hot pepper, marjoram, oregano. brown the potatoes, which only takes about 10 minutes. Enjoy
- this marinade is so tasty!! I am not a big fan of steak but I crave it after I had this marinade! 1/3 cup olive oil 1 tbls thyme 1 tbls rosemary 2 cloves of garlic (crushed) 1-2 tsp garlic salt 1 tsp Lawry's season salt 3 tbls worcestershire sauce mix them all together and marinade the steak in them for up to 24 hours or as little as an hour. Serve with toss salad (salad, cherry tomatoes, sunflower seeds, dressing, onions, grated cheese, croutons...whatever you like) potato wedges (i like this one: http://www.recipezaar.com/Easy-Baked-Potato-Wedges-49200) and broccoli or asparagus.
- potatoes augratin
- french fries w/ small salad w/ is favorite dressing
