Where can I find a good inexpensive steak house near Irving Texas?

I have paid up to $50 for a steak in the Dallas area. And it was good. But I have paid $12 for a steak in Houston and Oklahoma City and the steak was just as good. There has to be decent low cost place in the Metroplex. Money is not really the issue .. it is more the atmosphere. I don't like high dollar restaurants.

  3. ok...i don't know if you'll consider this still too pricey, but its by far the best steaks i've ever had. Ruth's Chris Steak House has a location in Dallas and the steak i got was about $33. It was worth every penny! They sear their steaks at 1800 degrees to seal in juices and serve it on hot plates so it doesn't get cold. It practically melts in your mouth. Now that i'm thinking of it,i'm dying to go back....its soooo good.

  5. personally i like steak and ale, i think the price is reasonable (around$15-22), good atmosphere and courtesy wait staff. but $12 budget for steak..... u probably need to try chilli's or applebee's
  6. Try the Y.O. Steakhouse in downtown Dallas, or The Boa Na Brazi on 121 in Grapevine.
  7. I don't like steaks but my husband is a hug steak fan and his favorite is the Outback Special from (of course) The Outback. I believe it is around $12 and he just loves it. OK...I am soooo hungry now!!!! "Let's go to Outback tonight, life will still be here tomorrow" :)
  8. Dunston's Prime Steak House 8526 Harry Hines Blvd. Dallas, TX 75235 Phone: 214-637-3513 Been there, loved it, near Irving, and not as expensive as other steak houses.
  9. I like Salt Grass. Their fillet mignon is the best I've had in years! They have 2 sizes (the 6 oz is about $22). They also have tbones, ribeyes, strips, and prime rib. The sides are good and the salads are fresh. Oh...the deserts are large enough to share!!
